Poverty Point Reservoir State Park

Our campsite for the night -- a very long pull-through.

This one made us laugh!  We drove over to the boat launch area and when we pulled in the parking lot, all of these (and more!) cats came running towards us out from the trees!  We decided that they must be feral cats, and that the fishermen must feed them and so that is why they came running when we pulled in.

This park has these cabins that can be rented.

These appeared to be some type of scavenger birds sitting in an old tree on the lake.

This is the view from our front window at sunset.  A beautiful fall-type view . . . and that is water on the ground from rain.  We're not far from Vicksburg, MS, so tomorrow we will be heading off to Mississippi.
