We had a great afternoon. After we parked t he motorhome, we went out to explore Fernandina Beach. It is on an island . . . Amelia Island. I also like this island better than Hilton Head!
We tried a chicken place called Zaxby's that we had seen all throughout Georgia. Then we went and had all the road crud washed off the Honda, and on to the historic downtown area of Fernandina Beach. Had fun looking is some of the shops and of course, we found an ice cream place that really made wonderful ice cream and we bought some fudge, too.
Then we went out to see the fort at Fort Clinch.
This fort had a dry moat.
