This is the famous lighthouse for Tybee Island. It is under renovation right now, but normally people are allowed to climb the 178 steps to the top. They say the view from the top is magnificent! All of the original outbuildings remain which is unusual.
This is part of Fort Screven directly across from the lighthouse.
