Kennedy Space Center

A mural on a building of the Space Station and the flags of all of the countries who have sent astronauts  . . . and Dave.

The first part of the tour is a bus tour out to the actual launch sites.
The rest of the pictures are taken out of the bus window because you don't stop.  That's why they all look so blue.

This building should be a familiar sight to you if you have watched launches.  It is the VAB -- the Vehicle Assembly Building.  The stars in the American flag on this building are each six feet across.

This is one of the two Crawler Transporters.  From the Vehicle Assembly Building, this is the way the unit is transported to the launch pad.

This is the track for the Crawler Transporter to travel on to the launch pad.  There are 2 lanes made of crushed granite with grass in the center.  And the Crawler Transporter does just that with its load.

This is the famous Launch Pad 39.
