Our Stay at Fort McAllister Historical Park

This is our campsite at Fort McAllister Historical Park in Richmond Hill, Georgia.  This is the first place on our trip this far that we have stayed more than one night!

Dave cleaned the front window of the Honda before we left for my picture-taking.  The slant of the glass just makes it hard to get a good picture out of the front window.

I got some help with my claustrophobia today . . . I could see way out to the horizon!  The area along the coast has so many islands and inlets and marshlands and an Inland Coastal Waterway . . . not like the Oregon Coast at all.

There were several of these signs warning about the sea turtles.  The lady at the Visitor's Center told us that from May to October is the time that the turtles are crossing.

We paid $2.00 to park for 1 hour at the pier.  With all of the warning signs about not paying, you wouldn't want to get caught!
