The back of the El Tovar has these great porch swings that you and sit in and see the Canyon -- even though it isn't really visible in this picture -- use your imagination, will you, please?
Friday afternoon we did something we have never done before in all these years -- went to the Imax Grand Canyon Movie. (They call it a movie, but it is really only about forty minutes long.) It was great! Dave swore that the building or at least the gigantic screen was moving when you are flying through the Canyon walls! We sat in the last row up near the top of this building. It was especially "thrilling" for me because there were birds in the movie but also, a REAL one or maybe more in the theater. Now . . . I don't know how they got there (and I really don't care to know). As we were going out, there were some kids talking about if there were birds or bats in there and they decided that they were bats -- but that really didn't make it any better for me!
