Dave had read about Sunset Bay State Park on the Internet. It was great. Most of the larger sites had a lot of foliage around them. We had intended to stay one or maybe two nights, but because the site we got didn't have a reservation on it and we could stay a third night free because Oregon was having a free day at the Oregon State Parks . . . we stayed!
These are some very interesting rock formations. The Simpson Mansion (which I will talk about later) looked out on these formations.

It's hard to see the picture because it was nearly sunset and they were a distance away and you had to use the binoculars to see them well, but there is an area called Simpson Reef and Shell Island. This place has seals and sea lions so thick that you can't even count them and . . . they are barking all the time! Reminder -- you can left click on the picture to enlarge it and you will be able to see the seals better.
