"Get your kicks on Route 66" as the lyrics in the song go. I guess I have always been fascinated by that song and seeing where Route 66 goes through our country. This is a Welcome sign in Winslow when we left yesterday morning.
There is a "Standing on the Corner" Park in Winslow and that's just what this man was doing. We pulled up to the Stop sign in the motorhome, so I just took his picture as his wife was taking his picture. The is from the Eagles song "Take it Easy," and there is a gift shop on the corner across from it. Next time we come through Winslow and can unhook the tow vehicle, I am stoppin' and shoppin' at this "Standing on the Corner" Park!
