On to Fort Lauderdale

Our drive to Fort Lauderdale this morning was cloudy.

And this is the park that we will be staying at one night and leaving the motorhome in storage for a week while we are on our cruise.  This was a real experience . . . the park is full of people from Quebec who speak French.  The lady in the office told us that you had to speak French to even work here.

Why, yes . . . that is a truck stop directly behind us!

And, yes . . . that is the road right behind our motorhome where the trucks would normally be driving at all times of the night, but they had changed the path into the truck stop due to freeway construction, so they weren't using it at this time.  Next to Disney World, this has been our most expensive park so far . . . no comparison at all!

The young man across the way from us asked us when we were leaving because he was worried that he couldn't make the turn to get his fifth wheel out.  This stay was just a very interesting experience . . . but not one we'd like to repeat.
We decided not to park our tow vehicle in the storage lot because they changed their mind about letting us park it there with no additional fee, so we decided to drive the CRV to the port and leave it there.  We did a dry run today to check out the parking situation at the port.  I guess I was too busy with my co-pilot duties to take any pictures, though.
