Port of Call -- St. Maarten / St. Martin

Our last port on this cruise was St. Maarten D.W.I. (Dutch West Indies) which shares the island with St. Martin F.W.I. (French West Indies).  We ported in Philipsburg, St. Maarten -- the Dutch side.
This was the first time we have been to this island.

Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas had to get out the credit card for fuel.

Beautiful views off the bow of our ship.

Gotta love those beautiful blue Caribbean waters.

The working side of the port off of our port side.

We had quite a walk down the pier.  We learned later in the evening that usually there are two more ships in port, but they had charters and had changed their itineraries.  The center of Philipsburg was about a mile from the ship, but this was a nice shopping area.

St. Maarten wants you to come back, Dave!

The ship on the other side of the Allure of the Seas was the MSC Musica.  We've never been in port with an MSC ship before.
