So . . . today, our journey took us 40 miles down the coast of Oregon from Ft. Stevens State Park to Nehalem Bay State Park. But . . . we are in an area of magnificent ocean views! We are going to stay here 3 nights because Saturday, June 2nd is free State Parks day in Oregon, and most all of the parks on down the coast are full Friday and Saturday nights. So we'll just stay here and drive north and south to the areas we want to see.

Oregon is really big on recycling . . . but you have to be able to read the signs and follow directions here! Each bin is something different, and there are ones behind the front ones, too. You do the sorting for them . . . everything does not go in the same container!
You have to know your Tsunami Evacuation Route when you are right next to the ocean.
