The Fruit Loop

Today we went on a "little ride" on the Fruit Loop . . . a loop that goes up to Hood River, Oregon.  It is famous for the fruit that is grown there.  But we were way too early.  Some of the Fruit Stands said they were open in July.

This stream of water was gray.  We wondered if it was glacial ice.

This is also a big logging area.  This is the finished product of lumber.

And here is one of the logging trucks going into the plant.

A closed Fruit Stand.

The day was overcast and cloudy, but maybe you can pick out the farmer on his John Deere tractor in the middle of the picture.  Also can you make out all of the fruit trees on the hillside?
