Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum

Whoa!  Is that a plane on top of that building in the distance?

Well . . . if it is, we must be at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum!

Yes, we are, and in that building under the 747 is a waterpark called Wings and Waves.  It opened in 2011.

We were told that the 747 landed at the McMinnville Airport just across the road from the museum.

Then it was taxied across the highway and hoisted up on the building.  It certainly is eye-catching, isn't it?

I don't know how much dismantling was done.

On the right side of the plane is an elevator.  Maybe you can make it out in one of the pictures above.  On this side, there are the slides where you can slide down into the pool.  And . . . no, we didn't try it!
