We got to Ely, Nevada, this afternoon and decided to stop rather than driving the three hours more to Wells, Nevada. This is an old town and the railroads and mining were very important parts of the early history. Many buildings in the town have murals painted on them.
Guess where I am going . . . to play Blackjack! This is in the Hotel Nevada, and it was built in 1929. The "live" gaming tables were downstairs.
This is the only place in town with "live" Blackjack, and I was the only one there when they opened THE table at 5:00 P.M. Very interesting! I was doing fine one-on-one with a gal dealer who talked about her life incessantly, and then they changed dealers!
