June 2, 2012 was Oregon State Parks Day. Camping was free. They were even grilling hot dogs for free! Even though we were scheduled to stay at Nehalem Bay State Park, it had been rainy for two days, so we decided to travel on down the coast and take our chance at getting into another State Park. Oregon State Parks have some huge campgrounds. Nehalem Bay had 265 spaces, but not all of them would fit our motorhome, and many of those are tent sites.
Then . . . we went on another one of "Dave's Little Rides!" We found cherries at a roadside stand. Please take note . . . the sun is shining!
This was our campsite once we got to Beverly Beach State Park. It was one of the only ones left that would fit out size.

We also found this place very tempting. They have 6 RV Sites and you can buy in on a one-third share of one site for $50,000! Tempting!
This place was called Boiler Bay.

This is the other side of that house at Cape Foulweather. It said it had been there since 1909. Amazing. It is also a gift shop at this viewpoint, but we were there after they had closed.
