On June 1st, we drove the tow car into Tillamook to the Tillamook Cheese Factory and then we went on one of "Dave's Little Rides" on a highway closer to the coast because Highway 101 is more inland through that area. That was called the Three Capes Highway because there are 3 lighthouses on that loop -- Cape Meares, Cape Lookout and Cape Kiwanda. By time we returned to the motorhome, that little ride was about 135 miles.
Seems as though everyone wants an ocean-view summer home! We saw many properties all down the coast for sale.
There's two people surfing out there and it was really windy and the air temperature had to be in the high 50's to low 60's at best. So I am thinking that the water temperature would have been lower than that!
I liked this house. We had seen it on June 1st, but I didn't see it soon enough to snap a picture. This picture is taken from the opposite direction when we were leaving in the motorhome. So . . . please use your imagination here. That pavement is Highway 101. On the right, there is a garage door. The whole house is not much wider that that garage door . . . but it is 2 liveable stories above the garage and as wide as the garage . . . and it has an ocean view!
