Harry and David's - Part 4

This line was packaging a certain type of "Tower of Gifts."


The only pears they are shipping now are from the Southern Hemisphere, and these were from New Zealand.  Each one is hand packed. 
 

I liked this machine.  Have you ever received a box and it has scrunched-up brown paper in it?  Well . . . this is the machine that does that!

Each table is packing a box that is one component of the "Tower of Gifts."

This is the area where they make some of the boxes.  They only use a machine if they have over 1500 boxes of the same kind to assemble.  Otherwise, it is done by hand.

These lines are only used when they are bringing in the harvest from their own fruit trees.
