This is the view of the Bluff this morning when we left. The area between the two rock formations is Mitchell Pass and that's where the Oregon Trail went through.
This is how our drive was this morning.
Yes, we do eat our way across the country! This is Heaven Dragon in Thornton, CO, and our very favorite Chinese place! It's in a strip shopping center that's very run down, but Presidents have eaten here and even called for take-out! The owner even shook my hand today . . . the hand that has shaken hands with Presidents and lots of other famous people! He's a real worker along with all of the employees at his establishment.
This is our view out of our front window this afternoon at Adams County Fairgrounds. Isn't it beautiful? This is where we usually park over by the horse barns, but they have some new sites around the edge of the parking lot now, and this one has a great view! Tomorrow, Dan and Marilyn are coming.
