Today we went to church in Fruita, Colorado, at the Fruita United Methodist Church.
This church is 102 years old! The cornerstone says it was built in 1908. There is a balcony around the three sides of the sanctuary, and those seats along with the pews looked original. Well, almost everything looked original except for the light fixtures. It was really interesting just looking around at everything.
Since almost all old churches have a lot of steps leading up to them, they are not handicap-accessible. Instead of a ramp, this church has an open, outside, elevator-type lift.
