This is all that remains of a second hangar. There were seventeen built in all and ten of them are still standing. This one burned it 1992. It was being used to store hay which caught fire -- what were they thinking?
This is a chart showing the comparison in size of famous blimps. The ones from Tillamook were the Navy K-Class which were 252 feet.
This is a model of what they were like. The part where the people were (I don't know what it is technically called) has two levels and it could carry up to 12 men. They worked in shifts and the bottom level was the living quarters. They could stay aloft for 48 hours.
