Around Winslow, AZ

After we left Meteor Crater, we filled gas at a Flying J in Winslow, then we made our way just a little further to Homolovi State Park.

 

 

 

There are some Indian ruins here, but we didn't try to visit that site. 

 

They each found something in the Visitor's Center/Gift Shop where we registered to camp.

 

Very vivid chartreuse (?) cactus outside the Visitor's Center, but I don't know what type it is.

 

We liked our site.

 

Today we learned a good lesson for the rest of the trip.  Jacob's box of rubber bands was open and fell off the table while we were traveling, and we had some sorting to do!

 

We went in to Winslow to buy some ice, but took the boys to see the "Standing' on the Corner in Winslow, AZ" park first.

 
 

Some nice tourist from Florida offered to take the picture of the 4 of us.

We thought this bicycle rack was interesting!
