A Great Time at Terrible's

This is where we spent Wednesday night -- at Terrible's Casino in Osceola, Iowa, which is south of Des Moines. We left Winnebago at about 2:45, so we just wanted a short trip (about 3 hours). But we've got a story (may be too long to tell here)! They changed their camping prices and now charge $20 per night, but they give you $10 back on your Players' Club card. Well, Dave had not used his card for a while so it was in the archives and when they re-activated it, he got another $5 and a hat and a deck of cards. But the catch was that you had to use it in slot play -- we tried to just cash out the credit on the slot machine, but it wouldn't let you. So, we tried using $5 of the credit and playing 25 cents at a time, and we won a $12.50 jackpot. Then, we cashed that out and it would let us do that by printing a credit ticket which some machines do now. Then we went on to play off the remaining $10 credit, cashing out each time we got $2.50, $1.25 or even 50 cents! Eventually, we ended up with $23.50 in ticket credit which we could then cash out! Always a way to work around the system if you are sly about it! Then, I came back with $45.00 more playing Blackjack than I started out with, so all in all, it was a great stop at Terribles!
