Dolly's Dixie Stampede

This was the only picture I could take of where we went to a show last night. It was Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Christmas Show, and it was great! I really had not wanted to go (and spend that much money on a dinner show), but Dave really wanted to go because he had heard that it was really a good one. It was very well organized -- sort of reminds one of Disneyland. As you go in, they take your picture and then later they bring it to you with 2 different backgrounds. You go in for a pre-show, then on into the arena for the dinner and show. No pictures, etc., are allowed! It was basically a horse show/rodeo with many of the events of such. All the horses are stabled around the outside and you walk past them as you go in. The dinner was a first of its type for us -- no silverware at all -- you eat with your fingers! It was a creamy vegetable soup, roll, a small roasted chicken (can't think of the name of them), a slice of barbeque pork, half of a baked potato, corn on the cob and all the Pepsi product you could drink and for dessert, an apple turnover. It was all very good and very amazing at how they could handle that type of a meal while the show is going on and the staff has certain participation things to do at specific times.
