After the job of setting up the tent was done, it was time for a little relaxation. The boys had new pocket knives and they had been anxious even before they arrived to be able to whittle.
Boy . . . did they enjoy whittling on this trip!
And the very first night at Big Lake brought the biggest surprise! Grandpa brought Jacob over to show me his catch. It was a very nice-sized trout that he caught on his little Sponge Bob 3-foot fishing pole. This picture leaves a lot to be desired, but you can't miss the smile now, can you?
