On the Road Again!

We are on the road again!

Since it is July, it is extremely hot and we need to turn on the refrigerator in the motorhome so that it can cool down before we put the cold and frozen food in it.  In an attempt to keep it operating at the 100+ degree temperatures, Dave sets up a floor fan on top of the trash can to at least keep the air moving around the outside vent of the refrigerator.  Sadly, we had learned previously that sometimes it is just to hot to expect it to keep operating!

We got a new plate for the front of the motorhome.  We had our Winnebago plate there since Arizona does not have front license plates, but it seems that most other states do, and when people at the campgrounds would look at the Winnebago plate with our membership number on it, they mistook it for our real license plate and couldn't figure out what state we were from!

This is the temperatures on the day we loaded . . . Tuesday, July 10th.  Outside on the shaded patio, it reads 111.7 degrees and inside the house it reads 81.9 degrees.

Inside the motorhome, the temperature is showing 113.7 degrees and in the outside storage bins it shows 112.8 degrees.  Too hot!!

We left on Wednesday, July 11th at before 6:00 A.M., and traffic on the Loop 101 Eastbound was no problem!

We even were kind enough to give a hitchhiker a ride for a ways.  That is some big bug on our windshield wiper!
