On our first morning here (Monday), we were welcomed with "Black Ice" on the streets. These pictures are not great, but . . .

We were supposed to be at Dad's at 7:00 to try out his new breakfast at the Vista. We heard on the radio that the driving was treacherous so we were warned. We had to be really careful even going down the steps on the motorhome because your feet would just slide out from under you. The cement and blacktop were no better.

When we pulled out of the driveway onto the highway, we were behind a cattle truck that had about 8 - 10 cars behind it. The cattle truck driver was really going slowly . . . probably 5 - 10 m.p.h. He was being very cautious and that was a very good thing! The highway looked wet, but it was a sheet of ice!
