We got back into Arizona on Monday, and there was still snow on the highway from Winslow to Camp Verde. The elevation here is about 7450 feet, however!
The wind has been with us this whole trip. On our way from Albuquerque to Cottonwood yesterday, we passed so many snowbirds going back north, but when we got to Dead Horse Ranch State Park, there were no sites left with electrical hookups! Today we are staying put because of the wind warnings. This guy lost his TV antenna to the wind, and he had his slides out and the canvas was ripped on the top of one of them.
This was the Tea Party in Cottonwood today. There were a lot more around the corner, but I was too busy waving at them and giving them the "thumbs up."
