March Trip to Alamo Lake

We had a hard time even getting out of town. We usually head out on Cactus to Grand, but we could see there was an accident in the intersection and they weren't letting you go through westbound through the intersection. So we turned off into the neighborhood (not a good thing with a motorhome . . . right?) and then we had to go north on 67th Avenue to Bell (another not-so-good way to get out of town in a motorhome). Whew!!

This is the row crops around Aguila -- so pretty to see the green irrigated rows in the desert (but we don't know what the crop was!).

This is our view out of our dining table window of our site in the Alamo Lake State Park Campground.

Can you see the burros in the picture? They supposedly head down to the lake in the early morning and are usually gone by 9:00. Dave heard them braying early one morning -- they are loud!
