Shades of the Past

On our way up to Big Lake from the Lakeside Campground, we ran into road construction and they didn't have the lane cones in the correct places, so they had you driving on fresh sealant for a short distance. Well, the little tow car took the brunt of it, of course, and it had black tar specks all over the front, hood, and top. When we stopped in Eagar/Springerville for gas before going on up to Big Lake, Dave bought some cans of WD-40 and went and washed the Honda first, then used the WD-40 to remove the tar and then washed it again. He knew just what to do as this same thing had happened a long time ago when we were towing the little yellow Toyota Pickup behind "Old Ugly" . . . speaking of which . . .

Dave saw this motorhome in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Show Low and he is pretty sure it is the original "Old Ugly" that we had! Can you believe that? He is so sure because there is a remnant of the "Go Big Red" sign that is above the right tail light.
