This is the mountains outside of Las Vegas before making the climb and then dropping down into Pahrump. It seemed strange to see snow so near Las Vegas.
This mountain range in the distance is bordering Death Valley. Also a strange sight -- seeing snow in the area where the hottest summer temps are recorded.
And this is the colorful sign at the point where we entered Death Valley.
