Colorful Colorado -- that's on all the signs where you enter Colorado and it has been their motto for as long as I can remember! Right after I took this picture, we passed a corral where a real cowboy was leading his horse with a pack mule tethered to it to go off and do whatever he had to do today! That's a sight you don't often see or even think about that anyone still does nowadays. Of course, it all happened too quickly to even get a picture!
We went over Lizard Head Pass today and Dave had it in second gear and floorboarded! The pass was 10,222 feet high! At least, we didn't get vapor lock like we did on "Old Ugly." Hey, the oxygen masks didn't even drop down from the overhead compartments!
Fresh snow on the mountain tops along with glacial patches.
